FB plans its crypto currency

Facebook is unveiling plans to create a new digital currency similar to Bitcoin for global use. The digital currency, called Libra, is scheduled to launchsometime in the next six to 12 months. Facebook is taking the lead on building Libra and its underlying technology; its more than two dozen partners - including PayPal, Uber, Spotify, Visa and Mastercard - will help fund, build and govern the system.

Boeing signs 737 Max deal

Boeing said Tuesday it has signed a letter of intent with International Airlines Group (IAG) to sell 200 737 Max airplanes at the ongoingParis Air Show, the first order since the nowinfamous jet model was grounded globally since March. The letter of intent is subject to final agreement but isa vote of confidencein Boeing as it struggles to win back trust.

World's first time-free zone

With the Northern Hemisphere's summersolsticejust around the corner on June 21, Sommaroy - meaning "Summer Island" - in northern Norway wants to swap its watches for flowergarlandsand declare itself the world's first time-free zone. On this island in West Tromso, north of the Arctic Circle, the sun doesn't set from May 18 right through to July 26, a full 69 days.
